AMERICAN LEGION POST 20
"Homeless Veterans Task Force"
Goal : To identify Homeless Veterans in the Kona area and develop pro grams/activities to assist them to become self-sufficient and positive contributors to the community.
Specific Tasks:
- Provide Task Force representatives to actively participate with the Veterans Administration, local medical personal, and other community organizations to compile data on our Homeless Veteran population.
- Develop specific programs/activities that can be managed by Post 20 and can have a significant impact on improving the life of these Veterans.
- Prepare a budget request for submission to Post 20 identifying funds required to support the execution of Tasks 1 and 2 as these needs are defined.
- Report status of Task Force efforts/accomplishments at regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
